Teri Orsini, SPHR: Savvy Senior Human Resources Leader (Retired)
Elaine has countless facets to who she is – consummate professional, learned and knowledgeable consultant, trusted advisor, good friend. In this latest phase of her journey, she’s chosen to open the curtain and share what people have learned to keep a deep, dark secret. She’s chosen to talk about her own suicide attempts with the goal of helping others. While Elaine may downplay the courage such a decision takes, I applaud her in how she’s chosen to approach this previously forbidden topic-with the same grace, caring and humility she lives her life. Elaine’s comfort with talking about her suicide attempts allows her audience to be comfortable with themselves, to listen, to learn. Elaine’s is a message that needs to be heard.

Elaine was in charge of my on-boarding into Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) and therefore my first impression of what it was going to be like working in the firm. Elaine was (and still is) the personification of integrity, knowledge, dependability, empathy, patience, understanding, leadership and so much more. I literally attempted to wring her dry for information, and she was a fount of knowledge, intelligently delivered and thoughtfully and skillfully communicated and taught. The firm hires really only the best of the best, and so it can be difficult to stand out. But Elaine clearly shined quite brightly as she and her cohorts lead hundreds of new hires through our on-boarding journey. I came to quickly respect and admire her in a way that carries through to this day as someone with a unique sense of purpose and unique qualities. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her in any way.

I had the pleasure of facilitating PwC Advisory Start training courses with Elaine for close to a year. I found Elaine to be one of the most positive and energetic facilitators to work with. The attendees always took to her charming British accent and trivia. She has a unique ability to deliver content in a way that engages large audiences, while also being vulnerable to build trustworthy relationships with individual participants. The year I spent co-facilitating with Elaine was very enjoyable and I learned a lot from her.

Elaine is an inspiring, energetic and passionate leader. We originally met during a project at PwC and I admired her positivity as well as her approach to change management. After she left the firm to distribute her novel and start her coaching career, I continued to work with Elaine as my coach. Our regular coaching sessions helped me understand my strengths and direct my attention/focus. Elaine is a great listener and advocate. She supports, encourages, and guides in a coaching relationship.
